Whole-house remodel, with home offices for both spouses at opposite ends of the home
This unique whole-house remodel had to work within the multi-spoked design of the home.
The homeowners — both university professors — wanted separate studies on distant points of the home, presenting a geometric challenge.
The large cathedral ceiling radiates from a hub, a large common space with a central fireplace, which presented challenges — all the trim and molding required custom cuts to conform to the odd angles of the three spokes. To further open up the interior spaces, we removed the walls from the staircase, and added glass guardrails and enclosures.
All windows and doors were replaced, and custom bookshelves built in to the studies.
